    A Beautiful Lesson

Sometimes we need to be reminded, just because one's not the star of the show, doesn't make them unimportant. You're all valued in one way or another, whether your role be small or big, and that's okay.

I'm turning comments off on A Journey Beyond Sanity.

I'm sorry, but, the absurd amount of people making baseless assumptions on me just because I keep the ratings off, hasn't helped in my investment to keep the story going. Really, for a fandom reflecting the show, they rather contrast what the franchise is even about:

"The writer is a coward."
"The writer has no self-confidence."
"A large story with no ratings? No thanks."

As I have to keep telling over and over again, I prefer feedback told in words, not some ridiculous Youtube-style like/dislike system that really does not boast self-esteem for many. If people want to keep ratings off, let them. Comments too? Let them.

No one should be judged for expressing their love for the show... Unless it's illegal. And I have committed no crime here.

Thank you all those still enjoying A Journey Beyond Sanity! If you still want to give feedback, please do so in PM or join the AJBS Discord Server. Link within: https://discord.gg/b8fs4Bx

I disagree! My story doesn't have ratings and that's because I stopped caring about them!
You are not a coward; you're one of the best writers on this whole site and I'm a fan!

Why do some people have to ruin it for others? Why are some people so completely brain dead?

I get it Stardust, and I wish you didn’t have to, but if that’s what you feel you must do, then by all means.

I'm not that big of a nitpicker with stories on fimfiction, never been one for stories in general really. So I don't quite understand why a story may be bad or not, I don't quite like looking too deeply into things. I just find a story I enjoy and if I don't I leave it at that. I just wanted to say not only how much I enjoy this story but how it has got me back into reading and enjoying mlp content single handedly.

I remember I came upon this story on fanfiction.net, didn't even really know about fimfiction at this point if you could believe it. I spent so many hours at night reading when I found it; the first night I read it the entire night through without any sleep, I enjoyed it that much. I have continued to enjoy these 'bonus' chapters after the main story was over and look forward to each new chapter. Since I started this story I've managed to find tons of other really great mlp related stories on fimfiction and other mlp related content to enjoy.

After looking through the comments on the previous chapters, I can understand why you wouldn't want to keep comments on as at this point it just works as a discouragement. I'd like to thank you for starting this story and hope you can continue to enjoy writing and publishing your work in the future.

If this is how it must be then allow me to say this.

Your story is spectacular, the characters feel like themselves, your emotions and interactions feel so relatable and real, and above all else, it’s so much fun to read (I may or may not read it 2 or3 times :twilightsheepish:).

So while it sucks to see you have to go to such lengths to filter out baseless idiots. Thank you =^_^=

Sounds like those people weren't true fans, to be honest.
Personally I don't really care whether or not I can comment or rate.

I don't see the issue with turning off the like or dislike. I still feel though they should make people who just randomly dislike make a comment on why they dislike.

While I understand why you don't have ratings and the downsides to having them in general I still like them as a quick little metric to judge whether a fic is worth checking out and what is complete trash.
