Who do you think is the stronger race? Dwarves vs Elves?
From LOTR/Warhammer,DND.. etc. The hippy tree-loving elves. Or the great miners and craftsman of the mountain halls and vast underground kingdoms from the manly big beardy people known as the Dwarves?
Dwarves, in terms of weapons, like axes, halberds, crossbows, pikes, throwing axes, and dressed in heavy plate armor. They don't use cavalry, referring to instead to be a slow-moving, defensive wall of death toward their enemy. They can bombard their enemy with armor-piercing crossbows and artillery from catapults and ballista. Their soldiers are very disciplined and know how to maintain a formation. Dwarves could give arms and weapons to their allies to give them a fighting chance because in terms of craftsmanship they will outclass virtually everyone.
Elves like bows and swords for the most part. Oh sure, they make some nicely made armor and fight like twirly whirly ninjas that break the laws of physics. Granted the elves do have discipline forces that know how to maintain a formation just like Dwarves.They are not a mindless rabble like orcs. Elven Archer spam can be quite useful to decimate large, lightly armored armies quickly. Plus, they made give you some of their girly weapons I guess.
Who would you rather go to a party with? A dwarf party you are expected to see lots of meat and beer. At an Elf party they may have lots of vegetarian food and possibly fine wine? Who would you want to help defend your city from a horde of mindless orcs?
Both these races tend to be honor-bound and loyal to their allies. They will slaughter orcs in vast numbers. So yes, elves are honorable but expect him to cry every time he sees you eat a cheeseburger. While the dwarf on the other hand will offer you a cheeseburger and a beer. A dwarf friend is a man's man, while an elf is your nature-loving hippy friend.
Dwarves = strength. Elves = dexterity.
STR vs. DEX = strength every time. Shame about dwarfish women though.
Dwarves are the more physical stronger race and the while the elves are either the more agile/magical stronger race
Well another thing to consider is magic. Usually dwarves don't really have many spells while elves can sometimes have strong affinity for it. So depending on arcane might, that could make elves stronger. I don't think basic elemental spells or enhancements would be enough of an edge but summoning spirits or powerful animals would be a big advantage.
I would rather go to a Dwarven feast with Mead on tap. I don't care for beer.

Dwarves are usually depicted as being physically stronger and hardier than Elves, though there are settings where Elves are a perfect Mary Sue race who are superior to all others.
If you mean which race as a whole is more powerful, that entirely boils down to the setting.
That said, Elves are almost always portrayed as being arrogant pricks, which is something I really hate.
So if it came down to which race I like more, it's definitely Dwarves.
