So from what I understand of tor, its basically a modified firefox browser with a bunch of privacy add ons. The whole point of it is to help remain anonymous online to avoid spyware from both companies and governments. I think it can save passwords since its basically firefox browser but I recommend just writing them down. The main backbone of its privacy comes from its own VPN community network. Using tor to upload and download info is not recommended since you have to bounce through several servers and back for the information to pass.
