Yaks of the North🎵 · 8:00pm Sep 30th, 2020

Yaks need more love!

Original Song: Swedish Pegans - Sabatons

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

As the wise yak has said:
“Once yaks are hardened in battle
Some no come back.”
They may fall

And as they attack
Felt the rage start to rush through their veins as they charged
Many died

There’s a bloodlust inside
It’s ignited by battle
In young yaks of north
Will it be as was said
Will their armor be broken
Chrysalis howls

Yaks of the North,
March through the snow
Forged in Yakyakistan by their hammers and swords
Out from their home; the yak soldiers march
Never to see home again!

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Where their brothers have fought
Is where they shall be proven
By spilling changeling blood
Raise their swords!

And they know, if they die
Their comrades won’t survive the fight
Ponies calling!

There’s a bloodlust inside
It’s ignited by battle
In young yaks of north
Will it be as was said
Will their armor be broken
Chrysalis howls!

Yaks of the North,
March through the snow
Forged in Yakyakistan by their hammers and swords
Out from their home; the yak soldiers march
Never to see home again!

Instrumental

They’re reinforcements
Enter the fray
Death may be waiting,
So be it!
To waaaar!

Instrumental

Yaks of the North,
March through the snow
Forged in Yakyakistan by their hammers and swords
Out from their home; the yak soldiers march
Never to see home again!

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Woah-oh-oh
Ooh-woah-oh-oh
Woah-ah-oh
Woah-oh-oh

Story:
During the Frozen North campaign of the First Changeling-Pony War, a group of Royal and Lunar Guards were trapped by Devil Horn forces. They were running out of arrows and guards were dropping fast. As a last ditch attempt to survive, they sent a letter to Yakyakistan in hope that the yaks could help them. Much to their prayers, the yaks sent a large force to their aid. The yaks marched for about five hours to the guards’ aid. They were able to cause massive casualties to the Devil Horn forces. The yaks were all eventually killed by heavy artillery and well placed crossbow shots, however, their sacrifice allowed the guards to fall back. The changelings, impressed by the yaks’ bravery gave them a proper burial along the fallen changelings and a Royal Guards just outside of Yakyakistan.
