Chapter 17 Sneak Peek · 5:35pm Sep 25th, 2020
Hey guys. Been a while huh?
Sorry to keep you all waiting. Believe me, I hate keeping you all waiting for six months at a time to release a single chapter. I had hoped it would be finished by now, but my job, job search, and other distractions keep butting in. But in the meantime, here's a little something to snack on. A sneak-peek into the journey of our intrepid heroes. Bear in mind that this is from a rough draft, and it is subject to change before it's publication.
The journey through No ‘Mon’s Land was long and quiet. Shades led the team through the scrap yards, winding around massive metal hills and stacks of destroyed vehicles. Everyone eyed the surrounding junk, wary of rusty metal and creaking stacks.
Just like their trip through with ToyAgumon the other day, any conversations were either quick whispers or discouraged entirely. Unlike ToyAgumon however, Shades’ caution didn’t border on paranoia. Rather, it felt more disciplined. It was the kind of caution one would expect a soldier to show when leading his troops through hostile terrain.
There were several moments where Shade would hold up his claw, signaling everyone to stop. He would then scout the area ahead to make sure it was safe. If he heard something even remotely sounding like a fight, he would signal everyone to double back and go a different way. This lengthened their journey but kept them out of danger.
After a couple of hours of sneaking around, the team found a broken down double-decker train car to stop for a break. At the moment, Rumble was on the second deck towards the back of the train car, looking out the window with Skull. In the distance, he could see part of a collapsed purple obelisk leaning on a mound of junk.
“That’s an old Control Spire,” Skull explained as he borrowed Rumble’s scope. “An old relic from the time of the Digimon Emperor.”
“Digimon Emperor?” Rumble asked. “I think I’ve heard of that somewhere before.”
“Supposedly he was a human child who sought to rule the Digital World. He would use those Control Spires to prevent Digimon from digivolving, and provide power to his Dark Rings, which allowed him to control Digimon in the area.” Skull handed the scope back to Rumble. “That area with the spire, that’s the Exclusion Zone.”
Rumble looked at the spire through the scope. “But it’s destroyed now, right? What’s the big deal?”
“The big deal is with the dark magic left over from the spire. It drives the Digimon who live out there completely mad. Everyone in the city is worried about what might happen if they stick around too long, so they tend to avoid that area at all costs if they can help it. Hence the name.”
Rumble nodded. As he scanned the horizon, he noticed several Digimon hovering around the Control Spire like vultures. He squinted into the lens, trying to get a better look. Some of them vaguely looked like Pteramon, the aerial Digimon that attacked them at the Sleepypine Trading Post a couple of weeks ago. But they were too far away for Rumble to be sure.
Glad you're still alive
Also, I was wondering why did you take so damn long to write a new chapter? it takes days, weeks, month or heck a year. I was worried if you're going to cancel this story entirely, this story is so good I hope that you're not going to abandon this. And I almost forgot, stay inside, stay healthy and stay inside.

I appreciate your concern, Pinoy. And I truly apologize for taking so long to write these chapters. There's a couple of reasons why these take so long.
1. I get distracted, or life pops up and takes priority. This was especially true while I was in college. And even now, when I have to juggle my current job's irregular scheduling and overall dullness with finding a new job to escape said dullness and the necessary dose of R&R, I still try to find some time to squeeze some writing in.
2. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. For some reason, I can't wrap my head around the concept that a rough draft is expected to be garbage. This leads me to sometimes stare at a page, trying to figure out how to tell the story perfectly the moment it's typed.
One thing I need to do is develop a routine where writing is a part of my everyday schedule, and distractions are blocked out. In the past, I would go to the library or some other quiet place to write. But, given the current circumstances...that's not possible. But regardless, I have no intention of abandoning this project just yet. I don't want this story to meet the same fate as the one from which it is was inspired. Thank you for sticking around this long, despite this story's ridiculous update rate. Stay safe now!
Its ok for me even if it takes a month or a year to upload a new chapter for this story, I know that you're struggling with the many things that were going on with your life just don't strain yourself it's bad for your health. I've really like to read this story from start to finish and then re-reading it from the start this became one of my favorite stories in fimfiction. I've really enjoyed seeing the fantastic adventures of the Ponydestined (that's what I call for Scootaloo and her gang) and their partners through the Digital World, and along the way they make new friends with the digimon, improving their relationship with their partners and each member of the ponydestined and most importantly the character development of each of the ponydestined. Before I end this I would like to ask a question: What do you think about the new Digimon Adventure 2020 reboot anime?, is it good? or is it bad?. Stay inside, Stay Healthy and Stay Safe
Hanggang sa Muli, Paalam! (See you next time, Goodbye!).
