Owl's well that ends well · 1:04am Sep 25th, 2020
So alls well that ends well is a comedy created by William Shakespeare and this story is abit similar to the episode. In the play a woman named Helena basiclly tries to make a man named Bertram to love her. Kind of similar to Spike trying to make Twilight love him more when Owlwishes slowly takes his job. I think seeing Spike dealing with jealousy was very intresting take of his character. From what we've seen the drake took his job as Twilight's number one assistant very seriously and it was obvious that he wasn't going to take an owl doing his jobs well. I was surprised to see this episode get so dark seeing Spike trying to frame Owlwishes in eating a mouse. (despite the fact Twilight would know Owls ate mice and other rodants) But in the end like the title "Alls well that ends well" Spike is saved by Twilight and Owlwishes in a very action packed scene. Overall I thought it was great character development for Spike and a fun episode to watch.
Random thoughts
The scene that Spike trying to frame Owlwishes was hilarous as it reminded me of somthing from Edgar Allen Poe. Even though I can't put a finger on which story.
The green dragon that attacked Spike looked similar to the red one that caused the smoke to cover Ponyville but that's common in animation.
Hey Foal Star, got a minute?
