Pillars of Society is barreling towards a conclusion, helped along considerably by my new 'listen to text-to-speech of the chapter on my phone while I edit it on my laptop' method of editing. We're still talking nine or so more chapters, but it's going by fast. I edited two chapters today!
After this, I want to do another long thing! Writing long things is fun! It might not pull in the updoots like the clickbaity little stories do, but it's just more satisfying and solid to write them.
But what?
Not being a fan of free will, I assigned numbers to my planed stories and rolled a die. Pillars of Society II won beating out such titles as Don't Hug Me I'm Pony, Celestia Dies at the Beginning (both working titles), and Battle of Canterlot II: Hammer to Fall (real title). As well as my ever finishing A Rock in a Soft Place. It's all on the list, tho. If I don't die*, I'll finish them all eventually.
Rarity and I have been brainstorming this one for while.

Tonight we pulled out index cards and made cards for every character with a major arc in the novel, with little 'wants/must' character notes on them. The stack is... rather thick. PoS II might not be the tight, focused little novel that PoS I will have been.
Or I could trim. I don't know.
On the one hand I'm not super happy about riding kkat's coat tails, but on the other, whatever, it's a neat setting.
*Spoiler: I will eventually die.
