Dear Nintendo · 12:52pm Sep 16th, 2020

From the bottom of my heart...

Fuck you.

All three titles in Super Mario 3D All Stars are emulated.

No 1080p.
No widescreen.
No 60 FPS.

And you suits want $60 for this?

I don't get it. Sometimes you folks are the most innovative developers.

Then times like this, you're the most backwards pieces of shit in the entire industry.

I regret pre-ordering this...

I see a lot of gamers on all platforms complain about companies doing things like this.

What is almost always the case, they have forgot companies like Nintendo are not there to make players happy. They don't exist to bring joy. At the end of the day they exist to do one thing. MAKE MONEY.

Take my personal addiction, world of tanks. A "free to play" game. I can say without blinking that since the first beta days I have spent well over $ 3000 in game on tanks, ammo, upgrades, and so on.

So it comes down to, is the latest version/upgrade/etc important to you? Yes, you get it and pay. If not you tell them by spending money elsewhere. (Example BF5 and how it failed big)

I fully agree on voting with your wallet. It's something I've always done.

I also agree with looking at the people who vote with their wallets by opening them, and calling them fucking idiots for enabling company behavior such as this.

What gamers need to understand is that they are not entitled to a damn thing. Don't like it don't buy it.

The thing is, it isn't "company behavior". They are doing what it takes to be profitable. It isn't in their best interests to upgrade or improve on old platforms that have already paid for themselves. That is something I feel a lot of gamers forget.

At the end of the day, gamers exist to provide profit, it is simple supply and demand.

Yeah, I saw that. What a rip. I was so excited to play Sunshine again, too. :fluttershysad:

Ohh oh dear but I like those games 😢

Honestly, the only way Nintendo is ever gonna learn is if enough people start wising up and boycotting the games that Nintendo refuses to listen to their fans on. If Nintendo won't listen with their heart then they'll listen with their pocketbooks.

You know, I've been on the fence about 3D All Stars. Sure, I want to try Galaxy again, but I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly with Sunshine, and if I wanted to play 64, I could've bought it ten years ago for $10 on the Wii's Virtual Console.

But for a second there, I actually wanted to praise Nintendo. As good as Link's Awakening for the Switch might be, I did not and still do not think it's worth $60, so for a second there it looked like Nintendo was offering us some nostalgia in the form of this Mario collection without the $60 price tag being grossly overpriced. Now I'm not so sure.

but, but it's Nintendo. it's muh childhood- you're trying to ruin my childhood. reeeeeee.

5356556 I'm not calling for a blanket boycott of Nintendo, because they can still sometimes do sensible things or listen to their fans. I'm just saying that for stuff like this, the only way to make sure they learn their lesson is to ensure as few people as possible buy a copy of 3D All-Stars, so that way Nintendo will realize this isn't a good marketing or sales strategy.

On to better things, the re-release of the first two Fire Emblem games, which haven't come to the west, minus the anime, is only about 6 bucks
