Weekly-ish Update: Slowed Output and a Rewrite · 12:24am Sep 1st, 2020
Because no one asked for it, an update!
And also because I'm funny like that, I'll start with the Rewrite. If anyone recalls a little story of mine called Who Wears the Pants, you might see (within a few minutes of this blog) that there's a "new" chapter. That... isn't. To be blunt. After some soul-searching, I realized that there were some elements of that otherwise silly story that don't reflect well on me, as well as some illogicalness that I should have fixed originally, and I've since decided to change a few lines of dialogue to fix these issues. The original form of the story will remain, though a disclaimer will be added as an author note on all concerned parts of the story to make it clear what's what.
So... what have I been doing in the meantime? Despite needing some time to recharge my Trixie batteries, I've done a bit of work on the next chapter of Legend of Trixie. Specifically, a chapter from Starswirl's perspective, as he tries to drag an unconscious Trixie through the woods to safety.
I've also done... a tiny bit of writing on other, less-important stories. Mostly shorts that I wish I could focus more on, but the longer, ongoing stories are demanding more and more attention lately. Honestly, since I hit my 1-year Here-iversary here, I went back and looked at my "older" stuff, and realized that I posted a ton of stuff in my first few months, with a bit of a drop-off since then. I hope I can reverse this trend soon.
Speaking of which... All These Midnight Days is going ahead. Probably a third to a half of a way through a new chapter. On the plus side, it's going quickly! On the down side, it's... going quickly. Not sure if the pacing is working, just yet. Hopefully, that'll work itself out eventually.
Preview!
And the other Princesses…
“What in Equestria is that thing!?”
“It’s like… like a chicken missing its feathers! Luna! KILL IT WITH FIRE!”
… were seemingly acting their age.
I didn't say it would be a long preview.
Hope everyone is surviving! Ciao!
You've been slowing down on writing after an early hot start? Glad it's wasn't just me
My first month here as a writer, I released 5 stories in a month, though I didn't spend nearly as much time editing back then as I do now.
This august will be the first month where I released no new stories. Talk about a drop-off!
Let's go! Swirly chapter!
