Yeah me too. A decent laptop that will play some games, but nothing new or truly exciting. However, for what I want to play, it gets the job done in 1080p so I'm happy. I can also emulate some PS2 games as well on PCSX2. I don't need 32GBs for the games I will never play! I have a PS4 for those

I have a potato of a laptop with a 1.8GHz CPU that can max out to about 2.4GHz, meaning it can barely run the original version of Skyrim with little to no issues, and since I can't afford to shell out near on $5000 AU on a decent computer, or even half that to build an... adequate... one, I will maintain the view that people who believe in the 'PC Master Race' are inconsiderate and over-privileged and wouldn't last more than a month on the amount of money I live on.

So I'm an inconsiderate piece of shit who's over-privileged? I lived below the poverty level for a couple years a while ago because I wanted to make a living off of writing pony fic. I didn't have a job; I just made money through commissions.

You don't need to spend 5k on a PC or even 2.5k. People are building great computers for 1k or less, especially if they buy used parts.

No one's ever said PC master race at the expensive of survival. But if I'm going to spend 80% of my spare hours playing games or on a computer might as well invest into it to make it more enjoyable.

I never said 'piece of shit', and that only applies to the people who put down others for preferring consoles over PC.
Also, I'll admit that when I wrote that, I was projecting and exaggerating a touch out of bitterness from dealing with people, in person, who were heckling the whole 'PC Master Race' BS when I was buying a new external hard drive for my PS4.

Also, I lack the coordination to use a keyboard and mouse.

Nothing that fancy except maybe my guitar amplifier, and that depends entirely on which Peavey amp that is - if it's a Valveking I win

Computer: Thinkpad E540. It's 5 years old by this point, but it does anything I need it to.
Music stuff: Ibanez RG350DXZ, Marshall DSL40CR, Digitech JamMan, Tascam audio interface, buncha pedals I still need to put on a pedalboard.

It's a Peavey 6505 MH with a Peavey 2x12 cab. I have three Schecters, a 6 string, a 7 string, and an 8 string. Then a cheap Agile 7 string FR.

Nice. No point in asking which genre you play in, then - high gain amplifier, all but one of your guitars have 7 strings or above, it isn't going to be smooth jazz (although that would be hilarious).

How's it treating you? I'm assuming the quarantine has freed up a lot of time for practice, it's just about the only positive thing that's come of it for me.
