Q: So a chapter that was supposed to have taken 2 weeks has thus far taken almost 2 months, what's up with that?
A: I had the chapter more or less finished, but felt it was a bit lacking, I thought I could fix things in fairly short order, but the replacement I'm cooking up means trading off a lot of the things that were already written and that I actually liked about the first version, and now as I write the new one I'm finding parts of it a bit wanting as I go and ideas of how to fix it are proving a bit thin on the ground even with all the extra time and now this sentence is getting really long so...
Q: So...when can I expect a new chapter?
A: *Long dramatic exhale* I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, I'm getting pretty frustrated with this, lets say... Labour Day weekend? Good enough or not it'll be out by then so that I can move on.
Don't rush it man, You've yet to disappoint us.
Take your time. If we have the ability to wait years for a chapter update on "some fics" then waiting till labor day weekend-ish can be done standing on our heads.
Take your time. Quality beats quantity.
I said it before, and I'll say it again; trust your instincts. 'Business as usual' jumped the gun a bit near the end, but was excellent leading up to that. The pacing of 'Compliance' remains perfect.
