These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.
...still writing ponies. (Among other things, granted.)
First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.
As discussed not too long ago, local legend and friend Skeeter The Lurker suffered some devastating losses that impaired his ability to work and live. We've all done well to get him close to achieving his objective, but he's still a bit short! Just saying, that if 10% of all of you awesome people that follow me donated a dollar
So, I totally intended to write only 7 parts for Isekai/SG1. But then I got to a point where if I didn't do something, I wouldn't be posting again for a second week, and if I rushed it, I was going to intentionally cut short certain things that had to be in the chapter (otherwise I would be cheating my readers!)
So... um. Yeah. Part 8 next week?

Ya know, to be fair, I somehow glossed over your 8 instead of 7 comment from a few days ago... focused in on the comment about splitting the 'last' (which I assumed to mean 'should have been posted this week') chapter into two. So, at least from one reader. No hard feelings about the additional chapter. It's a great story, I don't mind sticking with SG1 a little longer.

I really wouldn’t mind a part 9 even. For some strange reason...Stargate and MLP seem to be a really good mix for me. And tour characterization of characters has usually been nearly spot on. Have a mustache.
yeah I don't mind this at all. as someone said Stargate and MLP just kinda mix really really well.

Considering how much I'm enjoying the current arc, go for as long as you need.
Could have just done part 7b or 7.2 or something, just for the lulz and such.

My question, and I say this only as a curious someone who hasn't been keeping up at all with Isekai, is why this is happening. Doesn't making more than one chapter for a specific crossover defy the entire point of the story as it was originally formed?
5338795 It's sort of just a side-quest of sorts. It is implied through Isekai that Sunset has such from time to time. I figured it'd let me concentrate on writing a good amount of single-chapters sticking to the traditional format, but it sort of worked as a cushion from life piling up in the last month and a half

Though it took an eternity to get there, Isekai's going to be on my hard schedule soon. Only the first ~60k words or so, but it's a start.
And no worries, I've pretty much decided on my path going forward at this point. Might be better for you to wait and see the new version, anyway. As it's not my #1 priority ATM, that may take a few months.
