    I will return to G5

    Hey, guys. Mr. J here.

Just so you're aware, I am planning to return to MLP G5: both watching Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark. Now, I don't remember if I ever told you all about this, but I did inform some of y'all that I've given up hope for G5 because the episodes I watched around that time (two years ago) were so forgettable and boring.

Grading Scale:

A (fantastic episode)

B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
B- (a good episode with numerous flaws but still rewatchable)
C+ (a decent episode)
C (eh... it’s not terrible but not good either)
C- (it’s not worth rewatching although it does have good elements)
D+ (a bad episode with a few good things in it)
D (a really bad episode with wasted potential)
D- (a terrible episode with badly written characters and butchered moral)
F (horrible and unwatchable)

************

(Groans in annoyance) Wow... I didn’t think this episode would be that bad. But the word “bad” is a severe understatement. Is this really what Josh Haber had in mind? He actually managed to make an episode that is like rotten cheese splattered all over it? From the beginning of the episode to the end thereof, it had all sorts of cringe, wrong, stupidity, and nonsense everywhere! This is the first episode of this season that actually made me annoyed and irritated to no end. At first, this episode was decent the first time I watched, but after rewatching it several times... I HATE this episode. Time to set this trash on fire:

The episode begins with Starlight and Trixie trotting together for a picnic the latter prepared for them. Starlight is joyous to spend time with her best friend until... her watch alerts her to be in her office to counsel students... in the School of Friendship. She teleports there which saddens Trixie as Starlight’s schedule conflicts with their time together. Then Starlight comes back in an instant to talk with her again as they are about to eat and drink together... only for her watch to ring again. Wow... trying to be in two places, Starlight? NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

Trixie expresses how much she misses spending time with her. Then the watch alerts the pink unicorn again which greatly annoys Trixie. (Sigh) Look, Starlight, I’m sure you’ve heard the term “time management”; learn from it and then APPLY IT!! Seriously, why does she think that being in two places at once is a good idea?! You can’t be at BOTH!!

Ughhhh... after the overly annoying MLP theme intro, we see... Silverstream with Starlight and asking for help for the project Twilight assigned her to do. We also discover that Twilight and her friends left Starlight to take care of the students in their absence to make preparations for this holiday............................... WHAT?!?!???

Okay, so you gave Starlight the ENTIRE BURDEN of going through all of that trouble of counseling those students and trying to also counsel the Young Six while you lazy twats just run off to commence whatever preparations for this celebration?! AND Trixie just barges into her office while Starlight is already occupied with school business which Trixie should NOT interfere by ANY means or ANY reasons at all?! GET THE FUCK OUT, BITCH!!! YOUR BESTIE IS BUSY RIGHT NOW!!! I have always hated Trixie since her first debut.

Additionally, Silverstream was incredibly annoying in this episode! Was she really that stupid and inconsiderate that other students also needed guidance from Starlight? YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY STUDENT IN THIS SCHOOL, YOU IDIOT!!! (Groans angrily) So after the stern talk Trixie has with Starlight about baking the cake, preparing for the party with Sunburst, Maud Pie, and Mud Brier, Starlight just waves it off saying that she didn’t forget the plans and just nervously goes about her day. Once again, the cringey “meme” faces kept ruining this episode for me. I’m so sick and tired of that!!

Throughout the whole day, Trixie has been doing things on her “to do” list while Starlight does none of them as Silverstream kept bothering her ALL day with simple things she should’ve just figured out by herself. How old is that hippogriff??

Then after Starlight finally does something a guidance counselor would do, she goes with Trixie and joins their friends. Oh, and just to let you people know... I actually like Mud Brier; he’s kinda cool in my opinion. I get why most people don’t like him, but he’s actually very likable. At least he’s learning when not to say “technical” things in an unnecessary fashion in this episode. However, some of the jokes are not funny and were just... cringeworthy.

Terramar alerts them that his sister Silverstream is missing. He tells them that she didn’t come to the train station where he was waiting for her; he also learned that she was busy in trying to accomplish her project which Starlight said she didn’t know about it. “She didn’t say anything about a project!” WHAT?! She literally told you that she had a project to do at the beginning of this episode!! Did you just forget what she said?!

So they work together in trying to find Silverstream; they end up being spotted by cockatrices. They chase them around the Everfree Forest until they found the Castle of the Two Sisters and entered there. Despite all the holes and openings those walls had which they could easily go through, the cockatrices somewhat go blind and bang on the closed doors. Excuse me? Plus, there were multiple instances where the ponies and Silverstream (except Mud Brier) laid eyes on the cockatrices’s eyes, yet they didn’t turn to stone. Wow...

They finally found her in the Treehouse of Harmony with a cockatrice she befriended. Oh yeah, she lost track of time when she found this creature and... (groans) what the hell is this episode?

Obviously, Josh Haber was trying to teach the lesson about organization and time management, but the execution was horrible... just absolutely horrible. It had so much inconsistencies, lack of logic, and nonsense from start to finish. I give it an F!!

(Sighs) Whenever you guys see me this angry and curse without giving a normal greetings in the start of my review and having “angry rant” in the title, you know it’s going to be bad. Bye, guys.

Hey, I agree. Still, got admit it was nice seeing Terramar again, right?

5337587
He’s a bland character. I don’t like him that much.

5337595
I thought he was nice.

5337603
Maud Pie and Mud Brier were the saving graces in this episode, but they don’t do much.

You’re lucky you didn’t watch this.

I heavly dislike this episode as well. In fact, I dislike any Starlight episode since she not my favorite character

Well..... I was happy at seeing Silverstream appear again. X3

5337603
‘Frenemies’ was fun, but I disagree with you strongly on ‘Daring Doubt’. THAT EPISODE’S TERRIBLE!

5337758
And what makes you so sure that you’re the right one? How can you ever overlook the countless number of inconsistencies and plot holes that episode contained?

5337719
Fact, Silverstream is probably is the only good thing about this episode

5337755
Because she not fun to watch. I could say many things about her character, but ist too long for me to say

5337918
Well, one she ten to be annoying (To me anyway) from time. I also hate that people who like her see her as a 7 member of the main 6 with she not. I also dislike her episode from season 6 and onward (Beside the royal problem that is a good episode) since it feels like it's always the same thing every time I watch her episode. Also, I dislike her because I dislike Twilight taking her in as a student. It feels boring and uneasy for me to watch. The only thing I like her characters or background is that she friend with Sunbust since I really like Sunbust as a character.

5337924
Yeah, The Royal Problam I like because we could see the relationship between Celestia and Luna better and Sunbust is just cute to watch and I enjoying watching him more than Twilight

5337916
You're darn right. X3

5338242
So this means you like Silverstream as a character in season 8 and 9 since she and the other young six are the only good things about those seasons

5337763
If I may ask...

Did you catch CPofC’s review on “Daring Doubt”, by any chance? If so, what did you think of it?

5539181
Oh.

Well, he posted it months ago.
