been getting harder to write new chapters. · 8:33am Aug 11th, 2020
I'm gonna be honest. lately it really has been harder and harder to write.
Not because of anything else, but lately I've been more tired or stressed. Falling asleep at the keyboard. I'd say i'd have to extend my break but it doesn't seem the case. It could be the fact that the doctor found kidney stones in my ultra sound, but I dunno if that has to do with anything. I tried upping my calorie count for energy, since my brother suspects me being a stick and not eating enough could be the cause, but I still feel the same.
I also have to admit my output was a lot better when I was still drinking caffiene drinks, which I haven't done in a very long time. It frustrates me that I'm writing at a snail's pace, when years back I could churn out 5k words in a day. Maybe its my age. I dunno. Only other thing I can think of is my increased work hours and having to wear a mask. Probably not a good reason, but the heavy work has often left me out of breath, and the extra hours much more tired than usual. I'm trying to figure something out, but its all so exhaustive. I guess I just wanted to keep the story going at a better pace to get to my bigger plans, and I'm failing at that.
I now my hours will be going back to mostly normal next week, maybe, hopefully, I'll have more energy then.
true i get that
I really pity people who need to wear a mask so many hors /day
Take your time. It feels like you're approaching the point of burnout due to all of the ridiculous factors affecting everyone's lives right now.
Don’t burn yourself out. It’s hard writing a comical story during times like this. Just breathe. The story will still be here
covid is kicking everyone's butts; it'd be enough all on it's own. most people can't write both good stories and quickly while worn out. if I can follow twokinds for 10 years while reading other stories I can follow this. I'll always want another chapter of stories I like
