So, I Just Had The Most Peculiar Dream · 6:48am August 9th

After an early dinner and an uncharacteristically early bedtime (I’m more of a night owl, staying up past the witching hour doing God knows what, but this time I was knocked out by what I can only speculate as having been around 6pm) I had the most peculiar dream about Chessie’s Starlight Over Detrot. To give you a brief rundown of the plot (before my post-waking mind purges what little remains of the memory), Hardy and Taxi go to a remote mountain which houses an ancient griffon community. These griffons were of an old knight order through which new members are initiated through a rigorous, maybe perilous, quest to retrieve a certain artifact located in a cave at the top of the mountain. Applicants are rare and initiates are even rarer as the ritual itself is run as a competition (aka, only one at a time folks). In this instance, MC Hardy competes against top contender “young, spunky, female griffon” for the title knight newbie and long story short he gets the title after an entire dream’s worth of irritating the griffoness with an eventual heart-to-heart leading to her desiring tutelage (or even adoption) by our haggard MC. At this point the pair have once more descended the mount and are resting at the main square of the community, upon which a tree made in the image of a griffon goddess is grown. After Hardy shoots down her offer, the tree arises in irritation, revealing itself (herself?) to be the guardian of said spunky griffoness. Plant mom is irritated that her precious “daughter” is considering life under Hardy, but is even more ticked that he rejected the offer. They talk, it’s explained that he is basically a dad to his more carnivorous partner (or was it someone else that he was a dad figure to?) and to add another person to his immediate family would mean coming home to an awkward scene of Taxi, said new member, and copious amounts of disrupted furniture. This is when their intrepid guide and chauffeur (I say intrepid as this pony has the balls to drive even in the presence of a certain taxi named pony) interrupts, asking for a spare wheel.

Of course, it is at that exact moment (I presume it to end the chapter as I remember dreaming of a next chapter button) that I choose to awake; haggard and oddly energetic. Groggily, but with purpose, I rose noticed my doggy sleeping partner was gone and that the moon was orange. Of course, as I’m writing; the moon has returned to it’s usual pallid, white glow and my doggo has returned after harassing whatever imaginary would be trespasser she must’ve heard.

I chalk this odd experience to my recent over-indulgences of the HOI4 equestria at war mod, playing as a resurgent griffon empire in a world of war and revolution. Well, that’s it folks. Off to relieve my bladder I shall go.

Until next time!
