I remember when I very recently joined the fandom and had a bad impression of Luna and Sunset because of "fans" like these with Tyrant Celestia ideals that just kept trashing on her like they don't get something better to do. I hate how that those ideals still exist and have no chance of dying off like AJ background pony jokes, so I don't usually bother reading comments that have a less than settling dislike ratio to save my brain cells.

Okay. . . okay.
Just got back from seeing what all the fuss was about.

I'll. . . I'll just say my quick peace. Look I think the idea of an evil Celestia can be good. It can be an interesting twist on the character and if it's done really well it can make us see something about the character we might not have noticed before.

But it's clearly not what her actual character is from the show. There might be a few minute instances where you could argue whether or not she's acting in character, but most if not all of those can be chocked up to bad writing.

People who take their vision of tyrant celestia and assume it to be true for all stories are being ridiculous, and it makes me wonder how they even watch the show considering she acts nothing like what they say she is.

I think it all topped off with some very salty dude screaming about how we're all heathens with no empathy for being okay with Cozy Glow's fate despite, y'know, the magic draining, imprisonment, manipulation and... oh yeah summoning Windigoes but none of that matters because "ShE's A cHiLd!!!" and of course the usual Starlight drama because these people fail to understand the concept of remorse and regret, two things Cozy lacked compared to other villains (he also claimed Starlight attempted to murder the Mane Six which I'm pretty sure didn't happen unless I missed some director's cut version of the episode)

one dude failed to provide an actual argument and instead linked to a TVTropes page about the issue because all the greatest scholars, philosophers and psychologists use that site in their debates it's a good site don't get me wrong but probably not the best thing to be using in lieu of an actual argument in your own words

another dude claimed he "got blocked" even though he posted twice in the same thread and popped back up on his second account (he apparently has a third and fourth account as well) just to spill salt and be pressed - that's a lot of hoops to go through just to be mad

all in all it was just one big display of mentally unhinged toxicity which this site breeds far too well unfortunately
