The Amulet of Shades, chapter 14. Need a prereader or three.

Hey folks.

It's been an interesting week, what with having been whisked off to the hospital on Monday, the doctor and medical assistant thinking I had suffered an inferior infarction... In fairness, it did feel like that for a while. Turns out the next three EKG's all came back negative for findings, and the blood draw was also negative for Troponins, so yay for that . The blood draw did however find my potassium to be at an insanely low 2.5. Maybe that was behind the arrhythmia? Anyway, more bananas for me I guess. (and other things, to help my absorption of potassium).

I am putting the finishing touches on chapter 14, and will tap on a few prereaders if they would like to offer help. Seriff also said he would jump in - he has been so very helpful to the finished product. After that, we'll see if I can publish this out to y'all soon.

No worries. You can just enjoy the results later. This is the chapter that I tie my side arcs squarely in place, shift more focus over to the mane six, have my very first major fight scene, and actually come up with a reason for why this stupid fic is even CALLED the Amulet of Shades. Heh... eh heh.

To step OOC (I'm always semi-OOC though), that was partially as I wasn't sure, and because the salute brings to mind what I think is the most accurate picture of my oc, who might be a bit less than competent as a guard.
