Good morning, folks! Here is my review of Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Now, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was never amongst my favorite franchises since I was never a fan of it when I was a kid. However, I do remember watching a movie called TMNT which was released in 2007; yeah, that film was really good and entertaining. But that was the only movie related to the TMNT universe that I watched while I was either unaware or ignoring the existence of other movies or shows of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because, again, I was never a fan of the franchise and still am not. However, as a sucker for crossovers, I watched this film out of pure curiosity and I deeply enjoyed it! This was funny, entertaining, and awesome to see... mostly because of Batman. So, let’s talk about it:

The story: It was amazingly well done, easy to follow, exciting, and had high stakes. It makes you wonder as to how our heroes from different places (or cities) can thwart and defeat our main villains. It has great character development and great interactions between characters. Speaking of villains, Ra’s Al Ghul is awesome in this. He was badass, intimidating, threatening, and extremely cunning. The Shredder was excellent as well. His no-nonsense attitude, fierce combat skills, and complete savagery made him a force to be reckoned with. I don’t know much about Shredder in general, but he was really cool in this movie. Cas Anvar (Ra’s Al Ghul) and Andrew Kishino (Shredder) did a great job voicing their respective characters as they gave them life and vigor to the villains. I actually liked the dynamic teamup between Ra’s and Shredder. My only nitpick is that we didn’t see them fight each other via betrayal or to see who’s stronger. But that’s just it. Oh, and I loved seeing Batman’s Rogue Gallery in this including Penguin (voiced by Tom Kenny).

Turtles: They were actually good in this. Honestly, it’s quite surprising to see them meet Batman in Gotham City. I like their designs and their personalities. Leonardo was a bit bland but still decent, Raphael was sarcastic and funny, Donatello was witty and helpful... I guess, and Michelangelo was hilarious and... adorable I must say. My favorite part of the movie was watching my man Bats beat the absolute daylights outta them! Why? BECAUSE HE’S BATMAN!! Although, it was great seeing them team-up to stop the bad guys. But then again, if the fight led up to that, why call the movie “Batman vs. TMNT”? Shouldn’t it like... focus on that?

Why are filmmakers obsessed with having “versus” titles for superhero films despite them not focusing on the battles between heroes? It’s just one scene that covers that and that’s it. (Groan) Maybe that’s just me. At least Civil War actually focused on the fight between heroes as it was a vital part of the story. HOWEVER... I’ll let this slide because, unlike Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, this movie has great character development and potential that are not bombarded with cringe dialogue, half-assed story, and poor writing. This is infinitely better than that crap.

Also, Batman himself was awesome! Troy Baker not only does a great job voicing The Joker in this film but also in voicing the Dark Knight himself. Man, his voice acting was top-notch.

Alfred, Batgirl, and Robin were also great. The way they paired and interacted with the Turtles was well directed and well written. Oh, and I loved how Mikey handed his skateboard to Alfred which prompted him saying “Just as I always wanted...” in his usual tone. Hehehe, you gotta love Alfred.

This was a great film to watch. So I’ll rate it a 10/10.

Peace.

I saw this one.

I loved this movie and it was interesting to see the turtles and the bat family together.

Funny. When I was a child, people in my classes were all into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it was quite a fad in my younger days. However, later in life, I developed an interest in seeing the show that ran from 2012 to 2017, and I enjoyed it in more ways than I expected!

I did see one of the live-action movies produced by Michael Bay one time, and I think I saw parts of one of the movies were the turtles were operated using Jim Henson props. But, neither developed a complete interest from me.
