A print run of Starlight Over Detrot?

So, the Ministry Of Image printing house has a new survey up! Can you guess who is on it?

    https://forms.gle/p7Lnap4AcZnjgZpn9

I am absurdly excited. I doubt we'll get printed, but it would be amazing if we did! I would love to hold a copy of Starlight Over Detrot in my hands one day.

    So, what's next?

Starlight Over Detrot is done and now I'm intent on writing something else. I've got the outline for a romance novel. A non-pony romance novel, mind. That being said, I wanna write a few more pony things while I do that. I've got a heap of ideas for an 'Epilogue Part Four' for Starlight which happens a few years after the events of Epilogue Part Three and just sorta ties everything off.

    I'M NOT DEAD!

Okay, so the final main-story chapter of Starlight Over Detrot is *now* in the editorial pipe-line. It's headed to the people who do the good stuff.

The editors, being the geniuses they are, will likely have it finished VERY soon and I'll pump it out to everybody. Is this the end of Starlight Over Detrot?

    ONE MORE CHAPTER!

Dear lord, shoot me in the face.

All the years I've been writing this and I say to myself "Yeah, gonna finish it tonight!" then the characters get to talking. Talking. Just back and forth. GRAH!

Back from Carolina - I couldn't have done it without you guys. · 10:17am Aug 2nd, 2020

Alright, I am returned from seeing my dad. He's not in great shape at the moment, but he's alive and he's authorized me to share a picture. He may do us a reading for Starlight Over Detrot in a few days if he's feeling alright.

He had a big beard and thick black hair through my whole life. This was a huge change.

I'm still dealing, mentally, with the trip. We had to drive 17 hours because of the damned virus making airplanes a non-option, but it was worth it to see him. With any luck the radium treatments they've got him on will give him a few more good months. I do want to go see him again in person. I'm going to try to get there to do that.

Money is tight. My partners both had to quit their jobs because the Rona puts their families at high risk.

Screw 2020.

I got to see my dad. That's what matters. I got to see my dad before he dies and you lot made it happen. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. All of you. The finale is here and I'm almost finished with it.

Two chapters left after this one! Promise to make it satisfying!

I'm glad you were able to take the trip. :)
Good luck regarding another one.

Ugh, sorry about the financial difficulties, though. Good luck there, too.

Thank you from me, too, to those who helped. :)

5327191 We'll get the financial difficulties worked out, even if it means I end up writing porn for a bit. Nothing new there.

I bet he was happy to see you regardless. My grandma died last year, the morning before a math test. Sure, she wasn't the nicest grandparent, but I feel it would've still been better for everyone else if I were there than not. Even for all the drama surrounding that with my mom and her siblings.

Your dad loves you, and that's worth more than I can describe. When's your next trip?

5327203
No idea. That will depend heavily on the political climate in America which is getting just plain unstable. Ultimately, I'll try to get there in either January or February, but...who knows? If my dad's condition deteriorates more quickly, I may have to go sooner than later.

Hugs tight I'm glad you made it

Glad to hear your trip was all safe and you got to spend some time with your da.

Happy you could see him. Hope, he'll live as long it's possible and in (relatively) good health. I can't imagine life without my dad. I love him, even if he sometimes annoys me (Dad Jokes, the're so... old)

And yeah, 2020 sucks. And we still have 5 months ahead of us.:fluttercry:

Hope, you'll have a great day.

I hope your dad gets better

5327828 The doctors are pretty sure that's a non-option now. Metastatic bone cancer tends to just do a person in. Still, who knows? Maybe magic shall happen. Or maybe we'll find out Covid-19 is the cure for cancer. Bleh. I'll try to keep my head up. Hope is real important.

5327437 Thanks, Silent. You da best.

5327442
Me too. Would have sucked to just not see him before he dies. That would have been horrid.

-Chessie

Glad you g:twilightsmile:ot to see him.

Glad to hear it. :)
That's one less, or at least reduced, worry, at least.
