I am having a day, let me tell you. I shouldn't even be up right now, but at 5:40 this morning, my cat popped the screen out of the bathroom window and took a stroll around our roof for an hour. The adrenalin's long since worn off, and I want to die. D:

All I have to report for this month is very slow progress on a bizarre little horror fic called The Marchioness and the Urchin. I hope to have it out soon, gonna do some rewriting today while on the road, but who knows, really.

I think that's all I have to report on, too. I'm working on a review blog made up of the standard in-between fic readings, plus an edition based around an author who I'll leave for you to guess, but you definitely know him. I've got a single longfic queued up after those audiobooks, which will surely prove interesting, and a new reader after that.

I'm worried about a bunch of stuff on the world stage right now, but I figure you're sick of hearing about it, so I'll just let you wonder I guess. That's it.

I'm trying to write a scene where Clover the Clever, completely unprovoked, insists that she definitely isn't an alien from another world. So that pretty much sums up how that story's going in general.

It's rough out there man. Hope you're okay.

Our cat got on the roof once. The wife went crazy, demanded I go 'rescue' it. I pointed out the relative lack of cat skeletons in trees and house roofs, went inside and moved the cat food dish. Cat was there ten seconds later, wondering out loud why there was no food in the bowl and why wasn't it being put in there right now, you lazy human.

Let me pretend this is simply writing advice and nothing more:

My wife was very worried, insisted I go rescue him/her.

There we go.

Certainly at times but, it's also nice to see people care. If you're feeling burnt out though I saw this handy blog the other day that might help you out :raritywink:
Can't wait to read that spooky story!

5326225 oh, no. You weren’t there. She went crazy. :pinkiehappy:

(The cat had been neutered and I didn’t want That to happen to me either, which is why I convinced it to go back to ground)

Hey, that blog seems very familiar somehow...

Maybe you've heard of the guy who wrote it, he's pretty well known 'round these parts.

I dunno, he sounds like a big dumb-dumb to me. :B

5326779
Look, he may have given To Perytonia only a 4 out of 5 but the review was very comprehensive and, personally, I think "dumb-dumb" is going a bit far. Such vitriol is uncalled for.

That is great.

I need a Queen Arctorius in something now. Maybe an ancient leader of Pegasopolis.

All joking aside, it's good to be kind to yourself. :)

Definitely, It can be hard advice to follow sometimes and I hope you're holding up alright because you seem like a nice guy
