Too many notes, not enough rests · 12:14am Jul 29th, 2020
I'm posting this blog to let everyone know I'm still here, and I'm not going anywhere. I've been busy with my job and other real life things that I haven't had time to write anything. I was planning to publish a one-shot this month but I decided to cancel it, the reason being is that I didn't like writing it, nor was I emotionally engaged in the story. If I'm not enjoying what I'm writing, then the audience won't enjoy reading it.
I think it's because I'm writing too many one-shots. A part of me wants another chance to write a much longer story, but I can never bring myself to do it. Ever since completing The Spirit of Loyalty I thought I can never make anything at that level again. That's why my catalog consist of only short stories because it's easy.
I don't have anything planned yet. I'm taking a break from trying to force myself to write - that's what all the professional advice tells us amateurs to do. But I'm going brush up on my skills and read more books. Maybe I'll release something by late August or September.
