Wanted to post this here, because I realised people in the fimfic community might not have caught this through some of the other sources on the boorus or on 4chan.
You might all recall the controversy of last weekend when I posted my Aryanne fic. A reminder that I wrote this fic in defense of freedom of expression and to help support a freedom of expression charity art pack, the proceeds of which would go to the Day's End Horse Charity.
The charity has let us know about a beautiful 6-month old filly that the first $12,000USD (the largest amount raised by a pony charity art pack, to my knowledge) has gone toward saving. The filly's name is Verity.

Thank you all so much! Despite controversy and ill-will, the community has banded together to make this wonderful animal have a happier, healthier life! What a crazy world we live in where fake horsesmut words can make real horses happy! Truly, there's a God out there with a sense of humor (He probably posts on 4chan).

Some kind of graphic representation of starvation, either herself or an empty plate or a sign begging for food. Something that shows her original destiny was starving to death forgotten behind the pigpen, and that we changed her destiny for the better. It's somewhat vain, but it gives me a warm feeling to think we helped cheat Death.

I know it'll be unpopular because religious symbols brings out the Fedora tippers, but a cross, is the ultimate symbol of redemption (both for Verity and for the anti censorship movement) as well as her literal resurrection and salvation.
That said, knowing that people can't separate the symbology from the implication... Another popular resurrection/redemption symbol (though less apt) is the Phoenix.
Ultimately I think she is a blank flank for a good long time till we know about her likes though.

Hmm, hard to decide. I like a lot of the options out forth; I think I lean more towards something that represents the logo of the charity. I'm still conflicted on what fits her more, though. A lot of people are thinking of something that represents her redemption and her being saved is more the way to go, I also like that lol

I initially gave you comment a thumbs up, probably for not reading it well enough. I initially like the idea until I got to this part:
I don't like the idea of ascribing political ideology, or hatred of one, to a small, furry creature with no stake in the argument. It also contradicts the free speech aspect of using Aryanne in the first place.
I didn't sign up to be one of the very people who spat in my face and called me a nazi and neither did this starving animal.
