So this next chapter will be a little rough and will give us a brief glimpse at what Sunset has been through. Quite a few comments have guessed bits and pieces of what Sunset has gone through, but we won't learn exactly what happened to our favorite pony girl until around chapter 13. Just know that Sunset will be ok! She's safe at the moment and I won't let anything bad happen to her in this fic. All the bad stuff has already happened; now she has to work through it to reach inner peace.
I also wanted to address shipping. So I have a lot of personal ships and I don't know which one to follow through on. I've included hints for at least 3 ships so I can make the decision later on in the story. But it doesn't really matter at this point. Sunset is no where near ready for a relationship. She has a lot of mental and physical healing to do before she can even think about normal teenager things.
Last thing! If it seems like time is dragging on in the fic, that's intentional. For me, things as traumatic as this tend to warp time. This first night will be the longest because so much needs to happen. After this first 24 hours, the fic will move along faster and will focus on Sunset's relationship with herself, her new friends, and her new family.
