Still Getting Attention For Some Reason

So, it has been over a year since I last posted or updated a story (August 2021), and almost a year since I announced i was giving up on continuing any stories here. Yet, somehow, I am still getting notifications that people are liking my stories, and even occasionally getting new followers.

I'm kind of curious as to why?

    Giving Up

Well, I'm admitting defeat. The stories that I have here but have not finished are now officially cancelled. After all this time, it seems unlikely that I will be continuing to work on them. Sorry to those who were hoping that they would keep going, but hopefully you understand.

    MLP, D&D, and breath weapons

Something I was thinking about the other day.

In the show, we have dragons of numerous colors, but they all breathe fire. Some of them are of different colors, but it is fire all the same.

It seems that Melody Song has decided to do a dramatic reading of my story: Crazy Cat Owner Chrysalis.

Okay! I get it! Some of you don't like how I ended Brains and Brawlers

However, let me reiterate what I Knight N Gale when they suggested I re-write the ending. I'll admit that, yes, it was abrupt because I didn't build up to it, but it was NOT me going "F@(% it!" and ending a relationship just to end a relationship! I can't honestly say that it was the end I had since the beginning, because I didn't have an ending in mind when I started, but it was pretty early on when I decided that it would end up with them breaking up. Not because either of them lost interest or did something the other did not like, but because their life was going in separate directions: Twilight going off to college to get her degree, while Gilda stayed to take care of her grandfather.

As to why. Well, relationships -- even good relationships -- come to an end. Especially when it's the first in a person's life, like Sci-Twi. Yes, it's sad, and it hurts, but there is some good to come from it. Not only are the good memories of the time spent together still there -- even if it hurts and first to think about them -- but the time in that relationship, with that person, gives both of them a better understanding of what they want in a partner and in future relationships.

Also, I feel a little proud of it. Because while sad, it was mature, and not entirely cliche. Gilda may not have been making the best choice, but she was doing what she felt was best, and wanting Twilight to be happy. There was no big fight, no insults. Yes, it hurt, but they did not try to hurt each other in return. None of that teenage romantic drama that they try to include in every story in every media that exists.

I'm sorry if you don't like it, but I stand by it. I'm proud of it, and I'm NOT changing it.

It’s great that you’re proud and standing up for what you make. It’s your story and you make it how you want it!:pinkiehappy:

I am in total agreement with Mornings Dew. Good for you

That's for the best. It's your story, and you should stick to the ending YOU wanted to write.

There are some things you should absolutely back off of however and this was one of them. You absolutely fell on your face and gave yourself a shitty broken and bleeding nose at the finish line while others raced passed and beat you. I'm disappointed in your ending and regret ever reading your story.
