I don't know what prompted this, but I'll add my own two cents real quick.
People who go on and on about freedom of speech, in my own opinion, never have a fucking clue of what it actually means.
And people who complain about "political correctness" constraining their freedom of speech are just bigoted assholes who can't get with the times and accept that there are other people who matter besides themselves.

Free speech is meant to protect unpopular ideas and their expression. If they were popular, they wouldn't need protection.

In any case, Free Speech allows us to say what we feel is right...but also makes us take responsibility for what we say.
After all, criticism of free speech (Or whatever calls itself ‘free speech’) is, in itself, free speech in practice.
