Divide Into Two Chapters?

So, I’ve been reading over the last chapter that I posted, chapter five, and been thinking about dividing the chapter into two parts. Basically, the second half will become chapter six, and it will be a relatively even split, give or take a thousand words. Both would have a much less scary word count. After reading through it a couple times now, it seems like the chapter could end in certain places, but it just keeps going on and on, and I know that can effect the enjoyment of the story. I too understand the dread of reading through wall after daunting wall of endless text.

So, I’m in the process of picking out a nice spot to make the split. Obviously, I’ll need to come up with a new chapter name for either one of them, and make sure the ending of five and the new beginning of six will work smoothly. Now, I’m not necessarily committed to making this change just yet. I might take some time to think it over some more, and of course, your input is highly considered as well if you’d like to share your opinion on it. It might just take a small voice of persuasion to help me decide one way or the other, so lemme know what you think in the comments!

(Story Update):
As for the next chapter (or next part of the story whether that chapter be 6 or 7) I’ve unfortunately been putting it off the last couple of weeks because of a few things, one regarding the matter of dividing the last chapter up. However, do not fret, for I still intend on posting at least one chapter this month. And based on this rate, it will probably just be one chapter. I know one day I’ll be able to pump two out in one month!

Anyway, better get back to it. And possibly expect an update to the story if I figure out this chapter issue.
