Belated Thanks · 8:27pm Jul 10th, 2020
Hey, so as my buddy Shinzakura said in his blog post the other day, our streaming campaign to raise money for Doctors Without Borders' COVID-19 fund came to a close like three weeks ago now (and we forgot to say anything about it due to not recieving anything from DWB this time). We managed to raise $100 over our most recent campaign, putting us at a total of $175 across both of them. That couldn't have been done without those of you who donated, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
You also may remember that I made a promise during the campaign to match what we raised out of my own pocket to give to a black charity in my province, and regret that with everything that's been happening both in the world and in my life it completely slipped my mind. But, better late than never, so here's a picture of me putting my money where my mouth is.
Thanks again for your continued support, whether you were able to donate or are simply listening to me ramble on now. Remember, our campaign may be over but the fight against COVID-19 sure isn't, so please wear a mask when you go out! Also far from over is the fight against racial injustice, and there are plenty of charities that could use a donation if you are able. Black lives still matter, after all.
On that note, I wanted to confirm that yes, I am still working on a new story for the Berylverse, but also don't know when it will be ready to publish (sooner than later I hope). I will say that it will be taking place in the human world: specifically, Michigan. Focusing on the continuing adventures of Jade Lily and her growing circle of friends. See you then!
