Today is Claire Corlett's birthday, she is the talented young woman who voiced Sweetie Belle in the show and apparently is among the talents reprising their roles for "Pony Life". By now I've probably mentioned how she was originally a child when she cast for the role of Sweetie Belle, how she didn't originally sing for Sweetie Belle (she would not officially take over until Season 4, prior to that it was Michelle Creber who pulled double duty singing for Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom) or that she is the daughter of Vancouver voice actor Ian James Corlett (famous for such roles as Cheetor, and adult Goku in the first season of the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z). What might be interesting to note is that she also voiced a couple of other characters in FiM as time went by, particularly some of the Wonderbolts.
Happy birthday, Claire. I hope you and Michelle are continuing to remain close (along with hopefully Madeline Peters).

Today I learned that Dinosaur Train was an actual show and not an absurdist sketch on Robot Chicken.
In the anime series Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life she has a voice role.
One of my best memories was getting to meet both Clare and Ian at BronyCon 2017. I remembered Ian as Filbert from 'Pocket Dragon Adventures' and, doing some simple math, realized he did the role of Filbert just a year, or two, before Clare was born!
I first knew Clare from 'Dinosaur train' and how, adorably enough, she and her father both had voice roles in it. She was Tiny Pteranadon and Ian was Mr. Conductor.
Ian was rather surprised I acknowledged him as Filbert from PDA and, in the meeting, I spent more time talking to him about PDA and Dinosaur Train than Clare. :( Though my friend, Doodle Noodle, did a wonderful piece of art, which I never got to see with my own eyes, that Clare and ian signed. It featured Sweetie Belle announcing the 'Time Tunnel' as Tiny, MrConductor, Filbert, and my OC all sat around waiting for where we'd be going. :)
Definite good times.
On another Clare Corlett note, my friend, Aricub / sapphire attended 'closing Ceremonies' in 2017 and Clare was tossing out some swag as she prepared to leave the convention. Saphy was lucky enough to catch a 'Oh, C'mon!' shirt that was just her size! It was epic as I never felt saphy move so fast in my entire life. Though it was worth it. :)
