Age of Ultron? More like a few or couple of days for Ultron! Ughh...

Anyway, greetings to you all. Here is my review of Avengers: Age of Ultron. I had high hopes for this film to be awesome and fun to watch just like its predecessor. Unfortunately, this entire film felt like an absolute boredom... the type that just tortures you with the blandness and cringyness that kills your senses and makes you want to close your ears. That’s exactly what this movie felt like. Everything that I enjoyed in the first movie was nearly absent here. Here are my reasons why I just... hate this movie with every fiber of my being:

1). The characters: Almost all the characters were amazingly bland in this film. All the Avengers even Iron Man were uninteresting, boring, and just not funny. Don’t get me started with the new characters: Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. They were teased at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, yet not once in this entire movie were they developed as characters. Why should I even care about them? Even worse is that Quicksilver dies at the end of the film. Oh no, he dies! Wah! Wah! Wah! (Sarcastic) Give me a break... you really think I should be saddened by that? I actually cared less that he died. I guess Marvel didn’t have any plans for him to appear in future films? 🤷🏼‍♂️Anyway, they may say some cool lines of dialogue here and there, but that’s just it. It’s all superficial with no substance at all. Oh, and speaking of dialogue...

2). The humor: It was ALL OVER THE PLACE! Throughout the entire movie, they constantly kept telling jokes and more jokes that killed the tension in the action scenes. There is a time and place for a scene to have humor and a time and place for a scene to lack it. When you are in fight scene , you have to be focused and set the tone as something that should not be taken lightly. That’s one of the things that Infinity War got right. It had humor, but it didn’t oversaturate it to the point where the audience didn’t take the high stakes very seriously. Also, some of the jokes were out of place and nonsensical. For example, one of the famous memes comes from Captain America/Steve Rogers saying, “Language!” right after Tony says, “Shit!” Okay, so Steve doesn’t like cursing that much. I guess that makes sen—“You son of a bitch!”. Okay, I take that back. He curses at the end. So what was the point of saying “Language”? That is just ridiculous.

Dude, they make jokes all the time! What did you expect?

Yes, they do, but they shouldn’t be joking around where they kill the tension and seriousness of the action scenes and the final battle.

3). The villain: By the gods, I absolutely despise Ultron. No wonder Megatron looked so ugly and bland in The Last Knight! He copied this clown’s design! Plus, this robot is not the least intimidating or threatening. He is just way too humanistic in personality where I couldn’t take him seriously. “Although I can’t physically throw up in my mouth...”—Yeah, no shit Sherlock. You’re a robot. No need to tell us. He’s just a laughable villain with a nonsensical plan. Ugh... Thanos is so much better than this dude.

4). The Plot: Tony and Bruce have good motivations in having Ultron help them! HORAAAAAAYYYyyyyyyyyyahhhhh... what again? Like they aren’t capable of helping themselves? Isn’t Jarvis not good enough for them? Did they explain any other reason for those idiots to build Dulltron—I mean, Ultron? Huh? No?! No?! So they basically made way for him to rise up... bad? Like they couldn’t make sure that he wouldn’t go haywire or at least have him behave like Lockdown from Age of Extinction? So many questions that will be shot down by stupid answers.

5). The Action: It was boring and unimpressive as ever. Again, we have superheroes that are just obsessed with fighting bad guys in a city full of innocent civilians where most of them presumably died. Do they even care about lives or not? It’s no wonder the events of Captain America: Civil War happened later on. Jeez...

6). The Soundtrack: It was... decent at best. Not too great but not awful either.

7). The Acting: The only one who put his utmost effort in his acting was Jeremy Renner who played Clint Barton/Hawkeye. That says something. My favorite line from him sums up the whole movie for me: “ The city is flying, we’re fighting an army of robots... I got a bow and arrow! None of this makes sense.” Truer words have never been spoken.

8). The Ending: That was just... meh. What more can I say? The beginning was just straight-up action out of nowhere, and the ending was just subpar.

I’m sorry but not sorry. This film gets a 1/10 from me. If you like it, more power to you. If you like Boring-tron—I mean, Ultron so much, more power to you. This movie is boring, insipid, lifeless, and overall underwhelming.

Peace.

James Spader stole the whole movie as Ultron.

Out of Avengers movie, this is probably my least-favorite Avengers film.

I didn't really thought the whole romance subplot between Widow and Hulk was a good idea and that subplot doesn’t really make sense for me. Even Russo Bros admit the romance subplot suck and one of them say it was Joss Whedon's idea to include the subplot as he wanting a "Beauty and the Beast"-type romance but it doesn't work and that's why IW and Endgame doesn't focus way too much on the subplot.

I felt Thor didn't really do much in the film as he was basically a living prop than actual character, Hell! Even Chris Hemsworth didn't really enjoy filming the film as he described it as he felt he was being "handcuffed" throughout the filming.

He said the filming of AOU and The Dark World are one of the reason for the big character change in Thor: Ragnarok (Which is my personal favorite MCU movie)

Just give my issues on the film.
