Hey everyone, Chapter 3 is finally up!
Whew, this was a struggle to write, but it feels great now that its done. As I said in previous blog posts, this was my sixth attempt at this chapter, and I could feel it. It was extremely frustrating, writing for hours every week, only to get thousands of words in and decide to scrap most of it and start over. Well, start most of it over. I kept most of the opening section with some edits to help it flow better from the first draft. This was definitely the part that was the most fun for me to write, I've never written anything even close to a horror story before, and this was kind of my first foray into that genre. Maybe I'll do something similar as a one-shot one day.
I did feel it kind of cuts off suddenly, but there are two reasons for this. One, it was the only natural break point in the story for a long time to come, and 2. I had to get something out, lest I circle this one chapter forever. At some point, the chapter has to come out, and I was mostly happy with what I had, so I ended it there. Now I have to finish Chapter 3.5, which should be out in a few days at the most, then I start work on chapter 4.
