Just a few words... · 10:41am Jul 3rd, 2020
So I decided to release another chapter for Hazel Eyes. However, I chose to do so a bit early. It's a little bit of a gift, so to speak, since it's the day before a holiday. Of course, when I thought about things it also pulled on a few feelings of mine and made me want to share them with you guys. Since it'd be a bit much for an author's note at the end of the chapter, I figured I'd just put it in a blog.
To all of my American readers, I hope you have a happy 4th of July. It's been a tough year and some of us won't be able to celebrate normally thanks to current viral events, but that shouldn't detract from the importance of why we celebrate. At the very least we can be content to sit down with a good drink, enjoy our favorite grilled food, and offer up a few nods of respect for those who made our day of independence possible.
For all you wonderful readers elsewhere in the world, you may not celebrate on the 4th with us, but I'm sure plenty of you have similar holidays or celebrations of your own. Regardless, despite the state of the world, it's always a good time to remember what you have because of what others have sacrificed for you. Be it those of the past or even your parents, friends, or family today... we can all take a moment to humbly thank them for what they have fought for to give us a better tomorrow.
I offer up my pride-filled smile and my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has fought, and any who continue to fight, for the betterment of others. You make the world a better place and you deserve so much more than I could ever give. But you all are amazing and I hope this can bring a smile to you, as well as a feeling of appreciation if you need it.
Stay safe everyone... and may your days be awesome.
