Fic recs, April 22nd: Jordan179 edition

Once again, though a good bit late, I bring it upon myself to memorialize an author via reviews of their stories. Though this time, it's different, as I had no connection to Jordan179 and only learned of his passing (three years ago this month, coincidentally), from this post

Another post about video games and Youtube and stuff

If I'm going to waste time watching shit on Youtube, the least I can do is tell people about it. :P

Ceave is a crazy Austrian with a love of video games and a head for philosophizing about them. Plus he really, really hates coins, no matter how tasty they may look.

Do you like video games? How about philosophy?

I like one of those things for sure, but no one combines the two better than a Youtuber named InfernalRamblings, a former professional game developer who now creates hour and a half long video essays about the meanings of video games and how they relate to the world today. Here's a few highlights, since this is now basically my only

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ._.

Hey, so this happened. :) But you're probably not here for that.

Well, this month saw the publication of a new entry in Dear Success, along with A Second-Most Irregular Tea Party.

One of those was a success story. c.c; Guess I wasn't kidding when I said no one wanted a fourth story in the Beer and a Knife Fight trilogy. XD

So I'm still not in great shape, speaking a number of ways. Depressed, in pain, etc. I have a cool new desk though. That's part of the reason for the pain. <.<

What's next? Well, there's Trixie Is Trans (And Starlight Finds Out), which is the story I've been kind of hyping on blogs for a while. To my own detriment, of course, as hyping stories generally means they don't get written. I'm still not sure I know what I'm going to do with it. :/ Just gotta hope it works out and the intentionally lurid title draws in unsuspecting people who will have their minds expanded a little, yaknow?

Unfortunately, I might end up writing a horror story first. It's also topical. But like, I also started Scopaesthesia months ago and never finished it, so who knows. ._. Doing things is hard. That's it.

EDIT: Oh shit, I forgot about Einherjar, but everyone else did too, so that's okay. D:

I’m a little peeved you didn’t make the title a pun. ‘Trixie transcends Starlight’s understanding’ or some such.

Well, it's not a comedy...

Hey, I can always get behind ponified card games. :pinkiehappy:

Here's hoping things go more smoothly for you in general next month.

That just makes it even better!

“Doing thing is hard” is such a mood.

Trixie (trans) sends Starlight to get her some peanut butter crackers

I'd suggest running your trans Trixie story past a few trans authors/readers here to make sure it's well written.

Great idea. Do you know any specific authors, perhaps?

Pride and Positivity has that on offer.

The LGBT group on Fimfiction would be a good place to start. I don’t know how “out” various trans authors are on this site, so it’s not my place to list them.

To my own detriment, of course, as hyping stories generally means they don't get written.

You too, huh.
