Yeah, I know what you want to say, "where's that new chapter, Historex? I thought you were nearly halfway done a month ago!" Okay, first off, I never said I was nearly halfway done, I said I didn't think I was nearly done. Big difference.
But that does beg the question; what's the status of the next chapter then? Well, I'm still working on it, but as I said before, it's going really slow. And it's because I've been having a lot of problems with something recently.
Inspiration.
To be completely honest, I'm not feeling particularly inspired to write this story. And every time I push myself to continue writing, I stop doing so when something else catches my attention or when I hit a dead-end on how to word a sentence or paragraph.
And not only that, new stories have taken shape within my head that have nothing to do with MLP at all. Every day, I seem to move further away from this fandom altogether. It really pains me to say this, but I don't really hold this story with as much priority as I did with its predecessor. And it's because I don't have the inspiration to do it.
However, that does not mean I'm cancelling it. I still periodically write the next chapter every few days or so, but at the rate I'm currently working, updates are going to be very slow and rare to come by, especially with me prioritizing so many other things (such as the new, original story I came up with).
I'm sorry if you've been screaming to the heavens for an update, but that is all I have do say about this issue.
