EDIT: Giving it a shot ~ [Link]
Among the many things keeping me occupied (read: busy af), I have been working on organizing production of a radio play set in the Fallout Equestria universe. So far, we only have the Prologue published, though the first official Chapter/Episode is well on its way. These things take time, of course, as all of us working on the project for fun and practice, and thus have things like work and school to prioritize.
Now you may be asking yourself, "what does this have to do with Rainbow in the Dark?". Well, in the interest of further practicing skills in both writing and compiling audio works, I am considering working on a dramatic reading of the fic to go along with regular chapter releases.
The aforementioned radio play will be a bit higher priority on that front, but I think it could be pretty cool to hear RitD with sound effects and character voices and all that. I only worry that I'm getting ahead of myself here.
So this is why I am making a blog post about it; what do you think? Would you like to hear Rainbow in the Dark in audiobook format? If so, any tips or recommendations on how to budget time and all that?
Thanks in advance,
- Rae

Yes.

If you're already doing this stuff for another project, I think you'd know better than anyone what's working for you and what isn't. My experience is quite limited in that I did a few Austraeoh recordings for myself and for that, I usually dedicated 30-60 minutes at night if and when I had some time alone to do so. I managed to do 21 chapters though admittedly early Austraeoh chapters are short.
This is a good audio recording of an MLP fanfic, Arrow 18 Mission Logs: Lone Ranger if you want an example and don't already know about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmnAB1RY2dY&list=PLY8fTIAEbE4IB8V8NoK9DQ0Q2HJCkQJ-9.
I have my own Rainbow Dash fanfiction where I'd like to do the same (audio recordings), but I will most likely wait since I have a schedule that's been working for me for almost five months. I think I'd be over-extending myself and lose motivation if I added that to the mix. It's hard enough to keep up with doing one picture minimum for every chapter as it is.
Good luck whatever you choose to do.
