Per usual with my rather sporadic focus, in that I am always writing but you can never quite tell what I'll actually be writing about, I'm giving notice that I'm focusing all of my efforts on a single project at the moment. That doesn't mean I'm 'abandoning' any of my other incomplete stories. Obviously, I just picked up King & Shy again after 2+ years so I'm not planning on giving anything up, but granted that I'm writing for fun, I follow where my muse leads and she is very occasionally a fickle bitch with a very short attention span.
On that note, I'm sure anyone who is a fan of my Dead by Sunset story will be pleased to hear that the project in question is Dead by Midnight. I'm currently about Nine chapters deep in it, with several rounds of edits to go. Like most of my stories, it will consist roughly of three acts, and will probably be a rather long story. Right now I'm not even out of Act 1 and still have quite a bit to go with just that tale. I do know roughly where it goes and as was the case with Featherfall, I happen to know PRECISELY how it ends, which is why I've ended up on this kick.
As a general rule, if I can envision a full and complete ending scene, then that means I will know with almost total certainty, how to get there. It make take a few meandering paths, but I can still do it.
So rest assured, Dead by Midnight is coming, and gird your loins but it is looking to be a longer story.
Hell yeah, I'm so looking forward to this.
Outta curiosity, when do you think the modifications will be done for Dead by Sunset?
I really can't wait, and I'm super excited! Take your time though.

It is definitely a full sequel so you’ll probably be missing a lot of context. The short stories that lead up to it will help fill some of the gaps, but it’s not really a substitute for having ready the first story.
