Yeah, I was gone a while. Almost four years... last I checked. Stuff's happened, none of which I want to touch on right now due to the soreness still present. Just know that it involves family deaths and suffering both physical and emotional... not to mention the current political, biological, and sociological climate affecting the world, which has already left scars on me. I am very much lucky to be still alive.
For reasons that my law contacts have suggested to me, I will no longer go by my old name on this site due to said name being my actual middle name, as well as the fact that some form of doxing has occurred in the interim of my absence from this site. Those few of you who know me—and out of them, those even fewer who will see this—know who I am, and that's enough.
The rebranding will hopefully be the first step towards reclaiming my place on this site. I make no promises, however, as this and last year have drained me physically and emotionally, to the point that I have to wonder what point there is in even attempting this. Still, for both a part of my sanity and for old time's sake, I will do my best to write again... Just not sure if I have anything left in me to write about aside from maybe finishing up some work I left undone. Feels as if everyone I once knew has long ago moved ahead, leaving quite the gulf to catch up on..., and there I am with a busted lung and knee. A challenge of some type, I guess?
To those who read this, I appreciate the fact that you're still around to read it. If I am writing this to an empty room as I strongly suspect, then let this serve as a journal entry of sorts to myself. I seem to have done quite a fair bit of those once upon a time.
Just write what makes you happy. Don't allow things going on right now to get to do it as it comes to you smooothly. Don't force it just allow the idea and writing to come to you.
I'm glad you're still alive.

If doxing was involved, I suggest return to your previous blog posts and delete photos and mentions of your last nick/middle name, G. Hope you get back in the hang of things. But don't exert yourself, please. Write what you want, whenever you want. Focus on yourself.

Glad to be alive, though if the lung had anything to say about it, it would very much like to argue against having survived. Same. The fact I've been so radio silent has been mostly on me being my socially awkward self, my stubbornness to let go of my fear of microphones (long story), the doxing, and a really shitty socio-economic situation, up to almost dying just a few weeks ago. It's not been an easy time, and I haven't really done much writing outside of something I haven't even gotten around to finish yet. My hope is that I'll be correcting that soon.
