I'm thinking of leaving.. · 8:07am Jun 23rd, 2020
Hey guys,
So I've been thinking of this for a while, and I think I'm ready to leave. Joining Fimfiction was never gonna be a permanent thing from the start. I really did enjoy meeting all of you guys and writing and ready fanfictions. But now, Fimfiction seems to have just stalled after the show ended. I have seen a lot of other people also considering leaving because they have other things going for them, or Fimfiction has become a bit....boring now.
Don't get me wrong, Fimfiction is a wonderful place, filled with very talented people, but I just feel like not that much interest me now.
I usually only come on to check my feed.
Another reason I'm considering leaving is because I need to start focusing on my future and what I want to do. I'm actually taking singing classes because I've been considering being a musician in the future, but that's just a possibility.
Another reason is because I need to focus on my classes a bit more.
I just see nothing more for me to do here. I've reached most of the Fimfiction goals: 100+views, 100 followers, more than 1 story published. I've always wanted to maybe get my story on the popular board, but that just seems like a distant dream.
I will still leave my account or have someone maybe take them for me or something. Like I send them documents of the stories and they can publish them on their account but have a disclaimer somewhere so that the readers know it's my story. That's just a thought, I could also just leave my account here, just inactive.
I know some of you might be wondering what's gonna happen to my unfinished stories, and this is probably another reason I'm thinking of leaving. I've been trying to think of new chapters to write, but I haven't come up with anything! I've honestly sadly lost interest in them now.
I'm sorry to disappoint you guys, but I hope you can respect my decision and my reasons.
This probably won't be my last blog post though, I may update this if I change my mind (probably not) or if I make my final decision and just want to say bye.

I think I'll just leave my account up for people to view, but I'll just not be active.
You could always try becoming a lot less active instead of totally inactive. No one joins sites forever and there are many users who only log in or update their work occasionally.
Good luck and best wishes. Life takes us in different directions sometimes and it's up to us to follow. I would keep the account inactive, you ever now when inspiration may fall. I am kinda facing this question as well. I want to finish my stories before I make a decision, but other projects are calling. Again I hope things work out for you.

Thank you for understanding. I was thinking I should keep the account inactive instead of deleting it completely. I think I may check up on things every once in a while to see how things are progressing. Maybe I'll think of it as a long break or something.
