My experience with FanFiction prior to joining Fimfiction

First of all, I was very reluctant to do this blog but I need to get off my chest.

Alright, here’s my experience with fanfic and it was around 9 years ago.

Back in 2011, I was 14 years old when I signed up for FanFiction website under the name “emperor chao of world”

The first fanfic I did was Sherlock Blu which is a Rio FanFiction where Blu become a Sherlock Holmes-type detective and tries to find the birds who was stolen by a villain named Professor Liziarty (Basically Professor Moriarty as a lizard, why did I pick that name?)

It was originally one-off story but because I was a dumb kid back then, I decide to make a series of him fighting against the villainous organization and that’s where it went wrong.

The problem I have with the series is each episodes I did for the series was basically copy and paste same thing (Heroes having a meeting regarding the mission, same old introduction for different villains and basically a lot of rehash). Not to mention it was done in script-fic style and I don’t really give detail in the fanfic back then like the character get killed off but I don’t said how the character got killed.

Eventually I end up adding Transformers characters for no reason and it was a mess! Why the fuck did I includes Starscream of all people?! Not to mention I end up includes a real-life Arthur Conan Doyle and the actual Sherlock Holmes & John freaking Watson in the story! What was I thinking?!

After I done the entire Sherlock Blu series, I went on to made Sherlock 2: Snowman’s Return and i includes Deception in the story but that point, I decides to scrapped the sequel and deleted the entire Sherlock Blu series because writing it wasn’t fun anymore and looking back on the old message made me cringe to this day.

I also deleted another Rio fanfic where Blu and Mauro (A monkey) get married because that story made fun of it and I wasn’t proud of the story, I made that fanfic when I was a dumb kid and I wasn’t that kid anymore, I am different person and I support LGBT community.

I stopped writing fanfic around somewhere 2012 because not only I have to do high school stuff but it wasn’t fun anymore.

Around 2015, I did tried to write fanfic to give it another chance by writing 3 different Steven Universe Fanfics (The one where he get corrupted by an evil object named Black Shadow, the crossover fic with Ed, Edd n Eddy and the one where they are being confront by a group of gem hunters named Sinful Seven)

Unfortunately, it didn’t worked out and I deleted those 3 stories.

After 5 years of not writing fanfics, I came across Fimfiction and I read a lot of MLP fanfics and oh boy! I became addicted to the website and my personal favorite is Highschool Dragon by Wildcard25.

His stories along with others’ stories inspired me to join Fimfiction even though I wasn’t hardcore MLP fan compare to them.

I viewed this website as a new life for myself after my failed experience with FanFiction website and hopefully my stories in this website are more improvement than my old crappy stories from FanFiction website.

That’s my story.

I’m tempted of whether or not to deleted my old account from FanFiction website because I haven’t wrote any fanfic in that website.

P.S.S.

I considered Sherlock Blu and that awful wedding fanfic between Blu and Mauro to be my own Old Shame.
