June 19 Update on Stories · 4:27pm Jun 19th, 2020
All right, so. Since it’s been a few weeks since I last did this, I’m going to give a brief update on the state of my stories.
Sunset Glimmer just updated today. There will be six chapters and an epilogue in total, but I suspect the epilogue will land either the same day as the last chapter, or it will be part of the week after‘s update. Which brings me to...
The Legend of Trixie is getting back into proper production. I give nothing away, but the upcoming chapter has filled me with religious terror at the prospect of writing it. It’s one of those stories, or chapters, when I realize that I’m probably not a skilled enough writer to execute my vision. I’m not TS Elliot. I’m not gonna pretend I can do Hamlet better than Shakespeare. I will just have to hope the muse is in my favor.
Anarchy: Nightmare Night was planned as a small slice of life short story following Ann and her friends on nightmare night. The story will probably not drop until July, which is disappointing, since one of the chapters was meant as my contribution to pride month. Hope you guys can forgive a late entry on my part.
All These Midnight Days and My Little Ministers will just have to wait on their updates.
In terms of new or upcoming stories that aren’t as far along as any other ones above, a true sequel to Anarchy: Pony of Chaos is in the works, with the working title of Zap Apple. And we have entered the planning stages of Sunset Glimmer’s direct sequel, as well as the grand finale of the EqG/MLP storyline begun with Midnight at the Crystal Library, though I have yet to finalize a name for the project.
I am very excited to see where all this goes next. I can hardly describe the joy in my heart to know that at least some of you might want to come with me on this journey. Let me know what you’re most excited about in the comments as we ride out these crazy times together.
I can't wait for The Legend of Trixie update! :D
Full of interesting stuff in the near future. Can't hardly wait.
As for the Trixie chapter, take your time, take notes, lay down a time line and if you aren't satisfied, try and try again.
Good to hear.
