The harsh truth about parents · 10:02am Jun 19th, 2020
The image above indicates parents who don't want their children to follow their dreams or pursue their passion. They want them to do the same thing everyone else is doing by turning them into mindless zombies contributing to society.
I'm sure most of you have parents who force you to do things you don't enjoy and who are unsupportive of you being different or choosing your own path in life.

They always underestimate the child's abilities and/or potential and they always fail to realize that the child they're raising is a completely different person. They have to accept the fact that the child has the right to decide what they want to do with their life. If they can't support that, they shouldn't be parents in the first place.
While I'll agree that parents should be more supportive, they should also be real.
If a child wants to go on to be a famous actor for film or stage, they should support the decision, but also be real about the struggles it comes with and the concerns for the child
I agree, but also think that parents must be realistic as well. Other than having religion forced on me I was allowed to pursue most of my interests.
I think people have already said what I feel.
