...at least from writing anything but my OC. Granted, I still plan to finish up any incomplete fics if I can, fulfill the backlog of requests I have, and do the sequels I planned, but otherwise I'll likely no longer take any new requests and only write what truly sparks me, if anything.
In truth my interest in MLP wanes further all the time, not helped by how badly I feel Hasbro let it go downhill, nor the fact that I've had tons of bad experiences with the community, who've killed any affection I've had far more than the tons of hate and harassment the anti-fandom I've dealt with ever could.
The fics I've poured the most energy and thought into have never done well with ratings or views, so I see little reason and thus have no motivation to write much anymore.
Still, here's what's on the planned docket:
Requests: Trixie Glimmers sequel, a Starlight/Thorax/Chrysalis fic (Mostly complete), a Twilight Sparkle/Soarin fic, Sushi Girl Sunset sequel, Bullets and Babes sequel (Which will likely end the Spike series)
Commission: A dark Equestria Girls clop fic. (Will only be posted here once done with permission of the person who paid for it)
Updates: Bullets and Babes, Last Sunny Days of Equestria, I Dream of Succubi
Other than that I'll probably do my OC fics exclusively, if anything. Prefer the freedom over working with canon characters anyhow, and I'd rather churn out weird fiction over what most readers want. Thanks for reading as always.
Shame that you will retire soon, but understandable.... Most of the MLP content has been underwhelming since Season 8, but don't stress yourself too much to finish everything in time.

Thank you, I will do my best to finish everything I started at least, and what I promised to write. After that, likely OC stuff only since it gives me the most creative freedom.
That’s my stance as well. Only reason it’s taking me so long to complete any of my other work is because I could care less about the characters that aren’t my own. So know you’re not alone in that boat and just write what makes you happy c:

Yes, I've grown increasingly distant from canon characters since either I feel too constrained by them, or anything I could do with them someone else has done better. I'll always have a strong attachment to my favorites in the show, but feel a number of them were wasted. (Seriously for example, the writers apparently weren't allowed to use Diamond Tiara/Silver Spoon after their redemption? Why should I bother to get invested then?)

Thanks, I have been tempted to unpublish stuff before, but that would only punish those who actually liked it imo. I will still write when a story idea inspires me, but they'll likely be niche stuff I don't expect to get much traction.
I think I get you. Writing OCs affords more freedom, though personally, I kind of enjoy adopting the voice of an established character a great deal as well.

I sometimes compromise. For instance, I don't see Inky Rose and Pacific Glow used much, so I've adopted them as my own; there's less expectation for how they're 'supposed' to behave like popular background ponies (which are practically collaborative OCs anyhow imo), so I can characterize/explore them as I wish.
