A good story displays a moral, the best ones attach you to the characters who display them.

New Chapter Out, and New Cover!

Background shamelessly stolen from an actual SoT book
I'd recommend giving that one a read!

    Featured?!

Y'know for a moment there I was scared I'd lost my touch when it came to writing after I took those years on hiatus... this is a really encouraging sign.

Thank you all so much for showing me I've still got it! It's reassuring, and more than a little flattering. Don't think I've really processed it yet, since I basically just woke up.

    Good to be Back

I won't promise that I'll be able to return to my old projects immediately, or even at all. But I did mean it when I said I was coming back! I've spent too long not doing anything about my passion for writing, and that needs to change. :twilightblush:

So, in I come with a brand new story to tell! Please, come and tell me what you think of the beginning to the Coves of Courage!

    The Old Bones Creak

The pegasus' eyes fluttered open blearily. How long had it been since they closed? Weeks? Months? His coat felt uneven and unkempt, his mane was longer than he remembered, and thick with tangles he could feel without even moving yet. When his eyes adjusted to the low light around him, the dusk seeping in through a boarded up window; everything he had known was coated in moss and lichen. Vines

Hear Me Out... · 7:33am Jun 10th, 2020

The tagged story was more of a proof of concept than anything, and one that I don't feel entirely satisfied with. I am currently too preoccupied with other, more lengthy projects to even consider revisiting it, but... well, honestly I wanted to show off some doodling I did for the concept, I'm kind of proud of it. And I also wanted to partake in some rambling/discussion on a crossover pairing I feel like no one else has really touched on. Though for all I know there could be a whole community about Flutter-Venom out there, because I'm as in-touch with fandoms as the standard Twitter user is to fundamental morality.

Regardless, I really think Fluttershy and the Venom symbiote are two characters that would work off of each other really well, in both a comedic and dramatic setting. With Venom's amoral hunger and need to hunt and fight because it feeds off of adrenaline- or brain fluid/living flesh. Depending entirely on which you prefer, really -contrasting phenomenally with Fluttershy's steadfast morality, meek demeanor and reliance on others. Both share similarities in that they prefer minimal contact and yet constantly require the company of at least one other creature in order to thrive, and can find common ground in their internal dialogue. But I feel they would obviously be constantly at odds for numerous reasons, both expected and unexpected.

In summary, I wanted to share my enthusiasm for the concept of this character crossover despite having no motivation or time to write any meaningful stories about it myself. I have no idea why I am so enthusiastic about this concept, but character-driven anything excites me.

Until Next Time, God Bless You!
