Commissioned Art: SpikeBelle Beach

Oh boy, am I thankful for this one.

This drawing was done by Danmakuman, one of my favorite artists in the entire fandom! He has very distinct art style, very angular but very appealing. His color work is great; very vibrant. Whenever I see one of his drawings, I know who made it before I even look at the artist.

This commission, like most of my recent ones, is to enjoy a summer we may possibly miss (fingers crossed that doesn't happen). Summer is a beautiful season, one with lots a freedom. It would be an absolute shame if we didn't have one. At the very least, I can give two of my favorite characters in MLP a pleasant summer.

Honestly, I'm just gonna let this one speak for itself (in part because I need to go celebrate Dad's birthday). What do you think?

I agree. I'm getting either Sailor Scout or Lum vibes. Though, hopefully in the latter case, she doesn't start tossing lightning bolts at Spike if he annoys her.

Lum is from the series Urusei Yatsura, one of the first series created by Rumiko Takahashi, who also created series such as Ranma 1/2 and Inu Yasha.

Guilty admission, I've not watched MHA. The last few series I saw to completion was Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, and Thunderbolt Fantasy (not anime, but rather a puppet show).
