Fell and hurt myself · 6:13am Jun 7th, 2020
Well, let's start with the good news. I've been able to work out on my old boflex machine, even getting in a few pull ups which I couldn't do without any massive shoulder pain. Two days ago I tried some and barely had any shoulder pain.
Here's the bad, I fell and hurt both my wrists and elbows. There's a small step down between my kitchen and the bathroom which is also the top landing for the stairs that lead to our basement. My dad's cat decided to run under my feet when I was just getting my foot up to step from the top of the stairs to the bathroom. Its just 1 step up, but I only caught it with the tips of my toes before all my weight went up. I slipped, and fell forward on this one step, cutting both my shins and landing hard in a bowing position you might see in an anime. If I had fallen to the left I would have gone down the stairs head first.
I've got massive bruises on both elbows, and sprained wrists. I can barely lift anything with my left arm and twisting it hurts. my right's alright, but I worry I'm going to over work it. kinda hurts to type with my left hand.
Hoping this resolves itself. I've had enough of doctors... and this had to happen just as I was doing so well...
if there was ever a spirit of "misfortune, particularly during exercise" I'm sure they have set up residence near you. I'm starting to think they have placed a target on your head, Perhaps your dad's cat is an assassin in disguise.
