    Personal life disruption

Hey, everyone. I felt I owed you all an explanation for why it's now two weeks past the last scheduled update for Primrose War.

So, I've had a bit of a personal upheaval. I'm moving forward with building a house, not immediately, but there's been a lot of talking with friends and family about what it'll mean going forward. So that's one thing.

    Unexpected Hiatus

Hello everyone. I wanted to apologize for the lengthy, unexpected hiatus of The Primrose War. It was definitely unplanned, and this time I haven't been writing. Work, leading up to the holidays, has been more stressful than usual with the rush to get things done before I take my two week end-of-year vacation.

    Next chapter delayed

Hello everyone! I apologize, but the next chapter of Primrose War will be delayed by a bit. Between work and a few novel releases that I've been looking forward to, I haven't made as much progress as I wanted to on the next chapter. I do have a solid outline, though, for the rest of the book as well as part of the next, so I haven't been idle.

First story in 2 years! · 5:19pm Jun 6th, 2020

Okay, so... I've been doing a lot of rebuilding my confidence in my writing for the past couple of months. Sharing out more of my words just between friends and trying to get back that verve that I used to have for writing.

This is a story I've been working on for almost a year and a half with Carapace as a sort of co-author/side-story author. Sort of. It's complicated. Both of us had different stories we wanted to tell in this historical piece set 500 years ago (500 BPV - before ponyville) and while we've tossed words at each other like furious monkeys in a banana patch, we've each written our own stories with only influence and reading/pre-reading for each other.

In later chapters, our stories will cross over as the characters we're writing interact with each other, but even there we have our own interpretation of how things went from different characters' perspectives. We've also tried to keep the interactions to a minimum to keep our words our own... but given the nature of the story, there's only so much we can do to separate them in certain parts, as certain scenes are pivotal to both stories.

So! I hope you all enjoy The Primrose War and, once it gets to the point where things cross over, Carapace's side of things as well. That will start happening with chapter 35 (tangentially) and more directly by chapter 40.

Giddy!

Yas. She reminds me of a character from an original fiction I'm working on. The main character, actually. I was surprised when I came across the picture browsing for images of fauns and satyrs. It's so close.

Just wait until they find out about the other thing.

Nice to have you back!
