So, I've always been kind'a confused about this. Is Cadance NOT free? It seemed to be a huge deal that she was able to come outside to the welcoming party for Twilight, and some of the dialogue here and there since then seemed to imply that her issue had been solved as well, but then other things keep hinting that she's not free, including this very blog post. I feel like I completely missed something.

Cadance is displaced but not physically locked to Canterlot castle. However, because she’s displaced and is essentially ethereal, she can’t really leave even though she can because ponies would immediately see she’s a “ghost”.
