Seriously, out of all the things that have happened this year, this is the one that got me the most annoyed. Big step for our species, and it's all but ignored because of some brain dead idiots who think that a person's worth is decided by what color light is reflected off of their epidermis.
I almost joked that that would be an improvement, but then I remembered that it's flippin' Palpatine.
Really, the only thing that can salvage this year for me is a certain kaiju on kaiju rumble film that's supposed to drop this November.

This isn't even mentioning the previous problems such as the California wildfires, the ever-growing social divide between classes, genders, and ideologies, the Hong Kong protests, women who were raped speaking out against their videos being on Pornhub, global warming, increasing pollution, an impending presidential election, and my lack of updates on chapters!
