Y'know for a moment there I was scared I'd lost my touch when it came to writing after I took those years on hiatus... this is a really encouraging sign.
Thank you all so much for showing me I've still got it! It's reassuring, and more than a little flattering. Don't think I've really processed it yet, since I basically just woke up.
I won't promise that I'll be able to return to my old projects immediately, or even at all. But I did mean it when I said I was coming back! I've spent too long not doing anything about my passion for writing, and that needs to change.
So, in I come with a brand new story to tell! Please, come and tell me what you think of the beginning to the Coves of Courage!
The pegasus' eyes fluttered open blearily. How long had it been since they closed? Weeks? Months? His coat felt uneven and unkempt, his mane was longer than he remembered, and thick with tangles he could feel without even moving yet. When his eyes adjusted to the low light around him, the dusk seeping in through a boarded up window; everything he had known was coated in moss and lichen. Vines
What's that???
This is what I'm thinking

An early concept of a fantasy race I've been working on in the background.
5271384
I keep seeing that everywhere, and I have no clue what it's from.
5271522
The show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I'd recommend it.
It's like a golem made of garbage
5271658
It's supposed to be stones, clearly I went a little overboard with the colors.
5271664
Stones... Garbage... Either way, it looks great
5271522
Like a golem I assume?
5271910
Somewhat, yeah. A prototype for mortals.
5272089
a prototype?
5272187
Yup
5272217
As in when it came to creation this was a precursor, an alpha model of what the final product was?
5272735
Essentially, yes. They're the first of 8 sapient races, if everything goes according to plan.
5273135
and if it doesn't go to plan?
5275330
I might end up with more
5275359
Ah I see. Well best of luck
