if you stick around my Home Page, and read my fics, any humans that have super powers that i don't associate with Isekai tropes, or displaced common inheritance, well most commonly be from a universe i came up with two years ago, the Un-Natural verse. so here's some basic context for you guys & gals who read these fanfics and have some clarity on what's going on.
1st Point: the event that began giving people powers is documented as the Geno-Event, and it happened 50yrs ago to most of any humans i use's life. another key feature, unlike people like say the X-Men Franchise, or the M.H.A (My Hero Academia) only 1 out of 10 people will get the Geno-Gene that produces powers in an individual. this occurs more commonly in males, as the Geno-Gene attaches to the chromosomes of a males DNA strands, but it's not unheard of to have a female be born with the Geno-Gene, it's just very rare.
2nd Point: any individual that is borne with the Geno-Gene won't show signs of developing powers till the ages between 8-10. and depending on what Type of power the person has, earlier signs will be visible physically. the three types of powers are: Emitter, Transformation & Mutation. now when people start to develop powers, they would either be ostracized, taken away on the spot, or hidden away, or the kids just make a run for it and become wondering drifters scared of everyone with very bad trust issues.
3rd Point: ever since the man responsible for for the Geno-Event tried to kill everyone on the planet with a Genocide Bomb (basically a giant nuke that only kills anything that has the genetic code of Humans) the world's government has been real on edge, so imagine what happened when humans started to develop powers. a more extreme version of the hatred & extermination of the X-men franchise.
and there you have it folks, probably not the most entertaining thing you'd probably wanted to read, but if you're going to be reading the majority of my HiE fanfics with powers involved, at least you'll have context.
