Okay, first - I'm alive and I am working on updates. Just wanna put that out there.

Its probably been done but - My Hero Academia/MLP crossover. This idea came to me today randomly when I wondered what sort of quirks each character would have. It sort of happened while I was working out details about Shining Armor's abilities in Discovering Friendship and my brain wandered. So let's use Shining Armor as an example!
Shining Armor: The Defensive Hero - Aegis
Quirk - (name is a WIP) Ultimate Shield - The user is able to project nearly unbreakable barriers/shields as well as shift their own skin and act as a shield themselves. A powerful Defensive Quirk.
I also brainstormed some others.
Fluttershy: The Beautiful Beast - Chimera
Quirk: Morph(Animal) - The user is able to shift into animals. This transformation can be partial or complete and at any size. The larger the animal the more energy required and the more draining. A passive Trait of this quirk allows the user to communicate with animals. The transformations are not limited to a single animal at a time. The user's ultimate move being a combination of several animals to make the ultimate Beast Transformation.
Rainbow Dash: The Fastest Hero there is/The Human Battery - Lightspeed
Quirk: Spark - The user's body generates electricity like a human battery and can be discharged at will. Specifically, this user turns their quirk in on themselves, accelerating their body functions and generating energy with themselves to power them to absurd levels. Mostly used in order to increase speed, this quirk pumps power into every muscle and cell in the users body, granting not quite super human strength. This built up energy can be discharged in bolts and beams, but drains the users inner reserve to do so.
I'm still bouncing around ideas for the others. But seemed like it could be fun.
There is one out there that I'm reading, my little academia: friendship is heroic.
Shining isn't touched on in that story however Fluttershy and Rainbow are and nearly identical to yours. So I would read that one to avoid any claims of copying work.
As for Shining I like the idea, for his quirk name I would put that as Aegis. His hero name could be Royal Guard.
One recommendation...don't have Sunset be the Bakugo type character. Frankly it was poorly done in the other and as he never really changes from being a hot head it doesn't really fit Sunsets character. She's much more the Todoroki kind of character and fits with her usual representation as a fire/ice type caster using the temp shifts to fuel the next one.
Just one fans opinion.

Oh I don't plan for any of the main quirks from the show to make an appearance here. I took a quick glance at the story you mentioned and it seems like Twilight is the Deku of the story. I don't plan for OFA to be the focus at all.

Yeah Twilight and strangely enough Spike seem to share OFA though the latter has only barely been touched on yet. I'll admit now that I'm thinking about it, AJ being the Iida type character makes zero sense as she's always been the strong one out of the main six.

I have several things to say about this.
Let's start with my personal quirk and hero ideas for characters.
Scootaloo
Hero Name: Fleeting Fury
Quirk Name: Combat Cognition
Quirk Explanation: Combat Cognition is a quirk that only works in full effect when Scootaloo is both unconscious and in the thick of a fight (hence the hero name.) While awake, she can use it to perfectly recall any martial art she learns, but can only use what she has been actually trained to do. Knock her out though, which considering the quirk gives her a glass jaw is relatively easy to do, and the quirk shuts off most physical and nearly all mental limitations on her body, then proceeds to continue the fight. She is no more durable, so on paper socking her in the jaw will beat her. It does work in practice..... If you can land the hit. She is able to be overwhelmed by opponents of superior skill and even those of lesser skill yet are crafty or more numerous. And if the strike that would knock her out the first time is enough to nearly kill her, the quirk remains dormant. Attacks that cause instant death (bullet to the head or heart, snap the neck, decapitation if you wanna be that gruesome) will still kill her instantly.
Bit of a weird/long one but it would not leave my head after a bit of thought....
Next up.... Humanized.... It would work anthro but i like humanized stories.

Im already picturing a special suit for her, designed to knock her out and set a timer to wake up back up, giving her more and more time in "Fight Mode" until she gets better at using her quirk. Downsides of such an ability is that there are limitations on the human body for a reason, pushing past those limits for too long can cause lasting damage and eventually cripple someone. Its a good quirk idea with a lot of story potential, even to the point of having Scoots as the star lead of the story.

Also the Hero name is due to the quirk requiring her to be unconscious and that her temper when awake.... Well it doesn't take much to piss her off.... Even in canon....

Something i just realized i never specified.... The indicator the quirk is in control of her body.....
Her irises turn the same shade of orange her coat as a pony is.

I imagine her having a sort of helmet esque visor (Kinda like Great Saiyaman) that hides her eyes like how Eraserhead hides his eyes. There are two canisters stored in the helmet and a special rebreather attached to her mouth and nose. An Activator tied to her gloves will activate the canister of sleeping gas and the timer starts. When time is up, the other canister activates to wake her up and her suit injects some low strength steroids to boost her energy after waking up. The suit is the quality work of the members on the Support team, lead by Applebloom.

I feel like this needs to be made into a story of some kind.
I don't know if it should have an original plot or just an adaptation of the plot from the manga/anime though....

If you've read my work you know that I am a fan of doing original work. Discovering Friendship for instance, my biggest project to date. It would definitely have a original story. I've already been tossing ideas around and you are more than welcome to be a part of it. Got a discord? I like to idly write while im watching youtube or playing games.
